Reporting on Salmon and Habitat in Washington
Welcome to the 12th biennial State of Salmon in Watersheds report. This Web site provides stories and data about salmon, habitat, and salmon recovery.
The report documents how Washingtonians have responded to the challenges of protecting and restoring salmon and steelhead. It is a tool to summarize achievements and track salmon recovery progress statewide and by salmon recovery region. The Recreation and Conservation Office is required by state law to produce this report every 2 years.
This site is intended for several audiences: those who like a summary or snapshot of the information and others who enjoy digging deeper to find the details.
The photograph is of the Washington Coast near La Push taken by Rollie Geppert.
